We start EVERY project with an Initial Consultation no matter the size of the project. We want to get to know you, the scope of your project, how you live, what you like and what you don’t like. It’s all part of the exciting design process!!!

4. Discuss your Level of "Investment" with all decision-makers involved

REMEMBER: Your “Discovery Call” (this should be a link to schedule) comes first and then your face-to-face consultation with us.
What Can I Expect from my Initial Design Consultation?
A meeting (up to 2-1/2 hours) in your house may be all that you require in helping you initiate plans for your home project. Following the meeting, we will spend additional time condensing the notes and photos into a package that will be sent back to you, so you can refer to them as you move forward.
You will be asked a lot of questions. We will also take notes and pictures so we can refer to them after we leave to better think about your project back at our office.
We may walk your entire home to see how you live in your space, or maybe we will only concentrate on one space
We may discuss
· paint colors
· finishes
· window treatments
space layout
priority planning
Alternatively, this meeting is only the first step in establishing your needs; desires & scope of work for your project. We’ll discuss ideas & your investment amount to create a plan that will turn your dreams into reality before proceeding to the (optional) next level of services.
We want this consultation to benefit YOU as much as possible. We may discuss some “next steps” for you as well as some of our “full-service” options. Let us know if you have specific expectations for what you want to accomplish. We are flexible and easy to work with!!! At least that is what our clients say about us!!
After the Initial Consultation, we will email you any notes from our discussions so that you can reference them at your leisure.
How Can I Prepare for my Initial Design Consultation for the Best Results?
Gather some "Inspiration Images" to review with Julie during the consultation to help define your design style and vision for the space. Pinterest and Houzz.com are some favorite places to look at.
Gather all parties involved in this design project (spouse/partner, roommate, family, children, etc.) and talk about the level of investment you want for this project BEFORE Julie arrives. It’s okay if you don’t totally know.
Ask yourselves how much time, energy and money you think you'd like to invest into this project
Do you have the time to be hands-on with this project? Or do you want NEST to do the majority of the work for you?
Do you have an Investment amount in mind? Or maybe you have no idea how much your project will cost.
